Event description:

Renewable energy is no longer a luxury only for high-income countries. Across Asia, from developed countries like South Korea and Japan to emerging markets like India and Vietnam, renewables are growing rapidly. However, conventional energy such as coal and natural gas are also increasing as renewables alone can’t yet meet the robust energy demand growth. Even in China – the biggest wind and solar market in the world – coal-fired power is still growing in the less developed provinces out west. What is driving the future energy mix in different parts of Asia? How are industry thought leaders like IHS Markit providing data, analytics and insights to inform governments and energy companies of these crucial decisions?
