ClimateHaven is looking for a strong writer and creative communicator to join our team as we grow ClimateHaven's presence across the climate innovation ecosystem. This brand storytelling-focused internship is ideal for someone with an interest in climate journalism, science communication, or nonprofit campaigns– someone who sees narrative as an engine for systems change.

You’ll help shape how we tell the stories of our startups, our partnerships, and our impact. From drafting our weekly ClimateHaven Digest newsletter to developing materials for new donors and launching media campaigns for partner collaborations, your work will directly influence how people see and support ClimateHaven.

You’ll also play a key role in reinforcing our brand identity as we scale—creating narratives that resonate across audiences, from startup founders to climate venture capital firms to corporate funders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing & Storytelling

  • Draft compelling newsletters, blog posts, and announcements for ClimateHaven members and the public
  • Support storytelling campaigns for new partnerships, programs, and startup milestones
  • Interview founders and partners to turn technical ideas into accessible, engaging narratives
  • Develop written materials for donor engagement, partner outreach, and innovation showcases

Brand Development & Communications

  • Help shape our voice and visual consistency across platforms
  • Create one-pagers, decks, and materials to elevate our strategic initiatives (e.g., Water Innovation Hub, Playbook Live, donor programs)
  • Assist in developing campaign assets to launch new initiatives and reinforce brand identity
  • Monitor trends in climate media and identify storytelling opportunities for ClimateHaven

Content & Digital Engagement

  • Maintain and update key messaging on our website and digital materials
  • Draft and schedule social media (Linkedin, Instagram, Youtube) content to highlight members, partners, and events
  • Track content performance and engagement analytics to help guide messaging strategies

THE RIGHT PERSON

You are motivated, organized, and curious about how to build up organizations by communicating in compelling and creative ways with existing and new audiences.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

1. Passion for sustainability, technology, and innovation

2. Comfort working with tools like Airtable, Canva, LinkedIn, Campaign Monitor

3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills

4. Ability to learn new tools quickly and work independently

5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills

6. Reliability, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset

The role will report to ClimateHaven’s Associate. This role will be part-time ranging 10-20 hours a week; compensated at $20/hour. The position is primarily in person, with some flexibility for meetings to happen remotely.
