Children’s Environmental Health Expert to Discuss the Link between Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals and Serious Health Problems Including Obesity

Dr. Leonardo Trasande will discuss his new book, Sicker, Fatter, Poorer: The Urgent Threat of Hormone-Disrupting Chemicals to Our Health and Future … and What We Can Do About It. 

Dr. Trasande,  MD, MPP,  is a tenured associate professor in pediatrics, environmental medicine, and population health at the NYU School of Medicine.  He also is appointed at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service, and at the NYU College of Global Public Health.  Dr. Trasande’s research focuses on chemical exposures, childhood obesity, and related cardiovascular diseases.

After receiving his bachelors, medical, and public policy degrees from Harvard, he completed the Boston Combined Residency in Pediatrics and a legislative fellowship in the Office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
