Two EVST ‘18 Students Receive the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Ella Schmidt and Joel Abraham,  EVST 2018 graduates, are both recipients of the prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. The GRFP has a long history of selecting recipients who achieve high levels of success in their future academic and professional careers.

Fellows benefit from a three-year annual stipend of $34,000, tuition and fees,  opportunities for international research and professional development, and the freedom to conduct their own research at any accredited U.S. institution of graduate education they choose! 

Ella will be a member of the 5th-Year program at Yale F&ES and is applying to PhD programs. Joel will be pursuing a PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Princeton, in the lab of Rob Pringle.

Both Ella and Joel will  be continuing their undergrad EVST research.
