Dylan D'Agate '26 is an Investment Banking Analyst at Centerview Partners

Dylan D’Agate designed a custom concentration in Infrastructure Investing to explore the intersection of renewable energy, finance, and environmental policy. His individualized course of study allowed him to combine quantitative and qualitative approaches while examining one of the most pressing challenges of the clean energy transition: financing the infrastructure needed for a decarbonized future. 

For his senior essay, Dylan analyzed the role of private credit in financing U.S. electricity infrastructure. His research found that while private credit fills important gaps left by traditional project finance, its incentives often direct investment away from the distributed and innovative energy projects needed to achieve long-term decarbonization. He argues that expanding the role of green banks and developing stronger securitization markets will be essential to closing the remaining financing gap. 

Dylan credits EVST’s interdisciplinary curriculum with allowing him to explore renewable energy and finance from multiple perspectives. 

Following graduation, Dylan will join Centerview Partners in New York City as an Investment Banking Analyst, where he will continue working at the intersection of these interests. 

Dylan’s academic and professional journey demonstrates how a custom concentration empowers students to design an individualized program of study that reflects their unique interests while preparing them to address emerging environmental challenges in innovative ways.
