Event time:
Friday, October 1, 2021 - 12:00pm

Yale Climate Connections meteorologist Jeff Masters, PhD, a co-founder of Weather Underground and a blogger for YCC’s “Eye on the Storm”, will give a remote-only talk about the extraordinary weather events of 2021: One-offs or harbingers of times to come?

A prolific author and one of the country’s most highly respected meteorologists and climate change communicators, Masters will analyze 2021’s extreme weather events in historical context and discuss how the increasingly extreme weather of the 21st century poses a grave threat to an infrastructure designed for the climate of the 20th century. He will also answer questions from the audience.
