Summer Environmental Fellowship

The Summer Environmental Fellowship (SEF) welcomes applications from all Yale undergraduates (rising sophomores through rising seniors) interested in learning about environmental issues. The summer experience should provide the student with a substantive environmental research or training opportunity. Past SEF’s have been diverse, including students who pursued internships with environmental organizations or governmental agencies, or who worked on research projects in the field or laboratories at Yale or other institutions. You can find a full list of past awards here and a map with locations of internships. The Summer Environmental Fellowship has supported many Environmental Studies majors working on senior thesis research.

Summer Climate Technologies Fellowship: Available to all Yale College undergraduates interested in technologies related to climate change.

Students interested in applying for both fellowships should visit the Yale Student Grants & Fellowships website and search for “Summer Environmental Fellowship.”
