The Environmental Studies Program offers two summer fellowship opportunities:
- Summer Environmental Fellowship (SEF)
- Summer Climate Technologies Fellowship
Both fellowships aim to enhance students’ understanding of environmental issues and provide valuable hands-on experience in the field.
Summer Environmental Fellowship (SEF):
- Provides substantive environmental research or training opportunities
- Past experiences include:
- Internships with environmental organizations
- Positions at governmental agencies
- Research projects in field or laboratory settings at Yale or other institutions
- Supports Environmental Studies majors working on senior thesis research
- Maximum award amount: $4000
- Can be combined with other fellowships for additional funding
Summer Climate Technologies Fellowship:
- Focuses on technologies related to climate change
- Only one award per year is offered
- Maximum award amount: $5000
- Can be combined with other fellowships for additional funding
Eligibility:
- Open to all Yale undergraduates (rising sophomores through rising seniors)
- Applicants should have an interest in environmental issues or climate technologies
