Yale College Environmental Studies offers both BA and BS degrees.
The BA Program is designed for those likely to pursue careers or advanced degrees in law, policy, management, the social sciences, or the humanities.
The BS Program is designed for those who are likely to pursue careers requiring advanced degrees in ecology, environmental medicine or health, climate science, or other related disciplines.
You can declare Environmental Studies as your major during your first two years at Yale. Here’s how:
- Sign in to Yale Hub
- Navigate to the Academic Information Menu
- Select “Declare a Major/Degree”
- Choose either the BA or BS degree in Environmental Studies
Once you declare EVST as your major, your faculty advisor will be:
- BA Program: Michael Fotos
- BS Program: Kealoha Freidenburg
