Certificates

Yale College students may complete certificates in interdisciplinary fields or skills, in addition to their BS or BA degree. EVST students may find certain certificates relevant to their work in the environmental studies, such as the skills-based Data Science certificate or interdisciplinary Energy Studies certificate. Declaring a Certificate

• Students declare candidacy for certificates directly through the Declare Major, Concentration within the Major, Certificate page on Yale Hub.
• Students with a single major can add up to two certificates.
• Students with two majors or those in combined programs (e.g., BA/MA programs) can add one certificate.
• Application-only certificates (Global Health Studies, Human Rights Studies, and Education Studies Scholars Intensive) will not appear as options to declare but will display if they are already on a student’s record.

Certificate Liaisons

Seniors in the EVST program who are earning a certificate are available to provide advice and information about combining a certificate with a degree in Environmental Studies.
