Amelia is pursuing an EVST BA in International Environmental Policy – a custom concentration she designed by taking courses in globally focused wildlife and human rights, studying abroad in Tanzania, analyzing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and enrolling in courses at YSE She is also completing the Food, Agriculture, and Climate Change certificate. Amelia is in Branford College and is from southern Oregon. She enjoys hiking, beading, or painting in her free time. On campus, she works as a Peer Liaison for the Native American Cultural Center, was a FOCUS leader for Dwight Hall’s first-year orientation program, and is a member of the Cultivating Conversations Student Committee.
Amelia is happy to chat with anyone considering EVST or ways to get involved with campus environmental and sustainability! This past summer, Amelia interned at Cottonwood Environmental Law Center in Bozeman, MT, with the support of the Summer Environmental Fellowship, and before that, she studied abroad in Tanzania with the School for Field Studies. You can usually find her in the Elm, walking to Elena’s, or stopping at Book Trader on the way to the NACC. She is always happy to talk, so feel free to contact her at any time!
