Sena is from Indonesia and is very interested in renewable energy finance. He has volunteered for the SDG7 Youth Constituency at the UN Major Group for Children and Youth, serving as the inaugural North America Regional Focal Point and the Finance and Partnerships Lead and has worked for three green banks in the US: the Connecticut Green Bank, the New York Green Bank, and the Nevada Clean Energy Fund. This summer, Sena worked at Carbon Reduction Capital (CRC-IB), the largest boutique investment banking firm focused on renewable energy. At Yale, Sena has served as the Student Coordinator for Energy Studies, the president of the Yale Student Energy Association, the Sustainability Director for the Yale College Council Sustainability Team, and currently serves as the inaugural Energy Liaison under the Office of Facilities and Office of Sustainability. He also led a team that built a Solar Charging Station, lobbied House Rep Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) to sign on to a clean energy bill, and led Yale’s Solar Decathlon team. This fall semester, Sena is working in Jakarta for the Asian Development Bank Energy Transition Mechanism team to support Indonesia’s deployment of US$20 Billion of concessional financing to phase out fossil fuel power plants. He is available via email for questions about Energy Studies, and will be enrolled in the spring of 2025.
