Tai is an MEM candidate at Yale School of the Environment pursuing the Urban Specialization. After taking far too long to find their way to the EVST major, they eventually became involved with YPCCC doing climate opinion data analysis and worked with community-created greenspaces in NYC. They received their BA in EVST and certificate in Statistics & Data Science before returning to California to lead climate action for a small city government—a great experience working across a wide range of sustainability topics with an incredible community (with just a dash of government dysfunction). Tai is interested in community-based environmentalism, housing justice, urban transportation, and running more in New Haven.
