About summers at Yale-Myers Forest: Yale-Myers Forest (YMF) is a magical and fun place to spend the summer. It’s located in the heart of the “Quiet Corner” - a rural pocket of Southern New England, with a dense network of hiking trails and swimming holes. The camp cook is considered a cornerstone part of the YMF community, providing good vibes and simple, balanced, and filling meals that bring together researchers, the forest crew, and YMF staff after exhausting days in the field. Camp life is bustling in the summertime, featuring movie nights, volleyball games, an annual talent show and Fourth of July party, and more! Beyond camp social life, the camp cook will enjoy the freedom to explore YMF’s 8,000 acres of New England forest and the surrounding lakes, trails, and ice cream shops.
